Let us help you obtain a high-quality Penn State education with the use of financial and educational benefits offered only to veterans and their dependents.
Financial Benefits for Veterans
If you are a veteran, active duty service member, or dependent of either, you may be eligible for education benefits offered by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
To determine your eligibility and get started in the educational benefit process, please visit the VA's informational website.
Veterans are encouraged to apply for financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

Using VA Benefits?
Students are required to complete the VA Enrollment Cert Request each semester if they intend to use their eligibility for that semester.
You can access the form by going to your Student Home Base, selecting the “My Information” icon, and then “VA Enrollment Cert Request” in the menu. This form must be completed each term you wish to use VA Education benefits. If this is your first semester using benefits, you will be able to upload your Certificate of Eligibility at that time.
If you have a Military Affiliated Student Questionnaire in your To Do list, you will need to complete this before the VA Enrollment Request form.
If you have any issues accessing the form, please reach out to a certifying official at your campus.
Educational Benefits for Veterans
At Penn State, veterans have the opportunity to schedule their courses before anyone else through priority registration.
Looking for the Yellow Ribbon?
A recent change in the law allows all veteran students to receive the Pennsylvania tuition rate. Penn State Lehigh Valley students do not need to utilize Yellow Ribbon.
